* Because we normally allow at least 30 minutes with the Chiropractor, each treatment is thorough and still allowing enough time for lifestyle advice, exercise programs and any patient concerns to be discussed. We find this helps patients get better faster with fewer treatments. However where a 15 minute appointment is more appropriate, these are charged at £22.
Recognised by most Health Insurance providers. A few require a GP letter before treatment commences. Please check before booking.
Most people seek help to get rid of the pain, but the pain is not usually the problem. Pain tends to be a warning that something is not working correctly.
Stresses and strains, mainly physical but also emotional and chemical, in time, result in structural changes to the body. When these are too great or continuous, problems can start. The nervous system gets triggered, muscles contract, and after a period, joints lock. These locked joints simulate more muscle contraction, causing more joint locking and misalignment and pain. In addition, in the event of injury, an inflammatory response occurs and adds swelling and more pain.
Yes, Chiropractic does work. When compared with other treatments, evidence suggests that it is extremely successful for a wide range of problems, when preformed by a well qualified Chiropractor.
Your body has great ability to repair and heal, but sometimes it needs a little help to function better. Chiropractors are able to release locking joints, reduce muscle tension and correct any misalignment in the body. As your body starts to function better, the pain, stiffness and any inflammation quickly subside.
This is a very difficult question to answer until you have had your examination. It is also somewhat determined by what you want from the treatment, i.e. pain relief; pain prevention; improved general health.
ChiroRelief prides itself on being able to get results quickly, with relatively few treatments. We allow at least one hour with the Chiropractor on your initial examination/treatment, and thirty minutes on each treatment visit. This allows enough time for lifestyle advice, exercise programs and any patient concerns to be discussed, as well as a quality comprehensive treatment to be carried out. This is why most of our patients come to us through being referred from a family member or a friend. In some situations a 15 minute appointment is more appropriate and is charged at a reduced fee.
When compared to other effective treatments, it is remarkably safe. It as been suggested that there is some risks associated with neck adjustments, however these are similar to those you get while doing many ordinary activities. Having your hair washed, turning your neck to back a car, stars gazing, Tai Chi, Yoga, and even sleeping are just a few example of such activities. It is also true to say that there is doubt as to whether neck adjustments carry any risk when performed by a qualified Chiropractor.
Even when you take the information biased against Chiropractic, serious complications are extremely uncommon compared to medical and surgical treatments. Neck adjustments are more than 100's times safer than taking anti-inflammatory medication, and 1,000's times safer than neck surgery. As to the other parts of the body that Chiropractors treat, well there almost no recorded incidence of serious complications to report.
